Our client is a US based, accredited clinical laboratory focused on early detection, prevention and disease state management support within cardiovascular disease, heart failure and stroke as well as diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome and fatty liver disease. They offer a unique menu of clinical laboratory tests selected based on their ability to discern the information required to understand the patient's disease state.
Our service is supported by the company’s web-portal, .which provides access for both physician and patient to carefully designed and informative lab reports. This portal also serves as an effective communication and compliance tool for the company’s health coaches who, in close collaboration with the physician, offer personalized coaching service to secure effective disease management and facilitate sustainable lifestyle changes and treatments.
Successes on the programme in the US have been ascribed to the early detection followed by correct treatment supported by our unique test panels and the proactive personalized coaching scheme.
Our client is now starting out in the UK market and is looking to recruit a Health Coach to work closely and provide support to clients in the London area
The job of a Health Coach is to consider all cardiovascular risks and/or future cardiovascular risk by interpreting laboratory results in a person’s life and how it can help him/her to achieve optimum health. The Health Coach makes sure that all modifiable risks for cardiovascular disease are identified and assessed. The Health Coach will follow the direction of the physician and collaborate with both the patient, and physician, to implement a plan that caters for the unique needs of each individual.
The Health Coach may have various fields of specialty including Registered Dietitian, Registered Nurse or hold a recognised qualifications in Exercise Physiology. It is expected that they will have experience in setting up and managing Lifestyle Improvement programmes in their current or past roles.
A professional development portfolio must be maintained, in which they report the CPAs they have accumulated in order to maintain registry.
