Due to a period of sustained commercial growth, an opportunity has arisen to join one of the largest providers of psychiatric rehabilitation and specialist healthcare services in the UK as a Mental Health Account Manager in the South of England.
Actively involved in sales, marketing and strategic business development you will be given the autonomy to drive the business forward whilst still being supported in this exciting new role. Spearheading the strategic sales and marketing activities for your region, you will raise awareness of the diversity of the specialist services provided including acute mental health, secure and step down services, complex care and neuro-rehabilitation.
Our client provides intensive psychiatric rehabilitation through step-by-step programmes in the community or long-term placements. This service helps the NHS to save money by moving patients from costly secure environments into intensive treatment and support.
They have a proven programme of care and therapy that builds the living skills, insight, education and confidence required for Patients to return safely to the community.
The role of a Mental Health Account Manager is to identify patients who are suitable to move from the NHS into specialist rehabilitation centres and the positioning and packaging of commercial bids and the management of key public sector accounts such as Primary Care Trusts and Social Services.
You will be responsible for building strong working relationships with key clients and purchasers in order to build and maintain a customer base, both in terms of service provision and commercial arrangements.. You will have excellent knowledge of the healthcare sector and economy and demonstrate a broad range of sales and marketing skills.
Well-developed presentation, negotiation and communication skills are integral features of this role, which is primarily concerned with the promotion, marketing and selling of the acute services to the public sector. You will need to understand and be able to communicate the terms and conditions associated with commercial contracts, EU regulations and service level agreements.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A strong understanding of Mental Health gained in either a sales role or from the NHS
2. Experience in a customer facing role in the pharmaceutical industry
3. A demonstrable track record of success
4. Strong negotiation skills
5. An excellent understanding of funding streams within the NHS
6. Excellent networking and account management skills
7. Evidence of effectively working with both purchasers and prescribers at all levels of the NHS
